First night of the book club. I have never been to one before. I don't think I am intellectual enough to be in a book club. I read the book. I finish. I start another. I read the discussion points in the back of the books and think you have got to be kidding. They make it sound like I missed half the reason for reading the book. LOL! Anyway...our group read The Memory Keeper's Daughter. All the characters in this book irritated me. I can already tell I am going to be the belle of the ball tonight. I hope somebody agrees with me and I don't come across as a Negative Nellie. Maybe if I sit by the treats and manage a few well-placed "hmmm...interestings" they will think I belong. I guess I'm just nervous. LOL! Oh well...It's worth a try.

Denise, you summed exactly how I feel about book clubs and the questions/discussions at the end of the books. I have this book in particular, another thing I hoard. I buy books and they sit as I don't seem to find the time. Anyway, haven't read this one yet....now I'm curious. Good luck tonight. To bad, if I were there with you, we could stir some mischief together.
